The Lab Side · Common Questions
Everything You Need to Know Before You Enroll.
When should my student start SAT prep?
Most students benefit from beginning 6–12 months before their target test date. Earlier is better — it allows diagnostic work, skill-building, and multiple practice tests without the pressure of a looming deadline. We welcome students as early as 6th grade for foundational readiness.
What score improvement can we realistically expect?
Results vary by starting point, effort, and engagement outside sessions. That said, students who complete our full diagnostic-driven program and practice consistently between sessions typically see meaningful, measurable growth. We set honest expectations at the outset — we'll tell you what's realistic for your student specifically. How are sessions structured and how long are they?
Sessions are built around each student's current diagnostic profile. A typical session opens with a brief review of the previous week's targeted practice, moves into direct instruction on the identified skill gap, and closes with timed practice under test conditions. Session length and frequency are established during the intake process and adapted as needed. How long is each SAT Lab session?
Each session lasts exactly 45 minutes. We run two sessions per day: one starting at 4:00 PM and the second at 5:15 PM.
How many students are in each session?
To ensure quality instruction and space, each session is capped at a maximum of 10 students.
What days does the lab meet?
A: The lab is held twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.
Do I need to attend both sessions (4:00 PM and 5:15 PM) in one day?
No. Each student is assigned to one 45-minute block. This allows us to serve two different groups of students within the 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM window.
What subjects are covered in the lab?
We cover all sections of the SAT, including Reading, Writing, and Math. Typically, we rotate focus areas between Monday's and Thursdays to ensure full coverage each week.
What should students bring to the session?
Students should bring their laptop or tablet (fully charged), a notebook, and any specific SAT practice materials or results they are currently working on.
Do you provide full learning and preparatory resources?
Yes! All students enrolled in the SAT Lab receive a comprehensive preparatory package. Upon registration, you will be issued a personal login for our student portal, which contains full-length practice tests, targeted drills, and instructional videos.
What is included in the student portal?
The portal serves as your central learning hub, including:
Full Learning Modules: Step-by-step lessons covering every SAT Math and Reading/Writing topic.
Practice Databases: Hundreds of practice questions categorized by difficulty and topic.
Performance Tracking: Detailed analytics that show your strengths and areas needing improvement based on your portal activity.
Can I access the portal outside of lab hours?
Yes. Your login gives you 24/7 access to all prep materials, allowing you to continue your studies at home between our Tuesday and Thursday sessions.
How do I get my login credentials?
Credentials are typically emailed to the address provided during enrollment. If you haven't received yours by your first session, please let the lab instructor know, and we will get you set up immediately.
What is the monthly tuition for the SAT Lab?
Tuition is 400 USD per month. This includes two 45-minute lab sessions per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and full, 24/7 access to our online learning portal and preparatory resources.
SAT Lab Cancellation & Makeup Policy
To ensure the best experience for all students and maintain our small-group environment, the following policies apply to the 400 USD monthly tuition:
No-Show Policy: Because each session is strictly limited to 10 students, your tuition reserves a specific seat that cannot be filled by others on short notice. Therefore, missed sessions are non-refundable and do not result in a pro-rated credit.
Portal Value Guarantee: Even if a student is unable to attend a physical lab session, their tuition ensures uninterrupted 24/7 access to the full learning portal and preparatory resources. Students are encouraged to use the portal to stay on track if they miss a live session.
Makeup Sessions: Due to the 10-student capacity limit per block, we cannot guarantee makeup sessions in other time slots. Please check with the instructor for any rare availability, but assume the seat is reserved only for your scheduled time.
Withdrawal Policy: We require 30 days' notice for any cancellations or withdrawals from the program. This allows us time to offer the seat to students on our waiting list and manage portal licensing.
