9. Emergency Procedures

In the event of severe weather or facility emergencies, we follow the established safety protocols of The Grove Church. Parents will be notified via email or phone as soon as it is safe to do so.

Welcome to HomeSchool PlayLab!

HomeSchool PlayLab is a registered name of Academeer Inc. We provide a collaborative learning environment for homeschool families, operating out of our learning center at The Grove Church in Argyle, TX.

1. Mission & Philosophy

HomeSchool PlayLab is a boutique homeschool learning center. We are NOT a registered school, nor are we a licensed child care facility or daycare. Parents retain full responsibility for their child's primary education.

2. Exclusivity & Class Size

To ensure a personalized and high-quality experience, we strictly limit each session to only 10 students. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Learning Materials & No-Screen Policy

  • All Supplies Provided: HomeSchool PlayLab provides all necessary materials for learning, including books, pencils, paper, and art supplies.
  • No-Screen Policy: We maintain a strict NO SCREEN TIME policy. Tablets, laptops, and mobile devices are not used in our sessions and should be left at home. Student cell phones brought for emergencies must be powered off and stored in bags.

4. Calendar & Holidays

We operate year-round from September through August. We are closed for all National and Texas State holidays, and for a winter break:

  • Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving (Thurs/Fri)
  • Winter Break: Closed Dec 23rd – Jan 2nd
  • MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Texas Independence Day (Mar 2), San Jacinto Day (Apr 21), Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day (July 4), LBJ's Birthday (Aug 27)

5. Session Duration

Each learning session lasts strictly for 75 minutes. Please ensure timely drop-off and pick-up.

6. Tuition & Cancellation Policy

  • Fees: All class fees must be paid in advance.
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds once you have paid and registered.
  • Cancellation: A strict 30-day written notice is required for all cancellations.

7. Safety & Conduct

  • Facility: The Grove Church is a secure facility. Students must remain in designated areas.
  • Sign-In/Out: A parent or authorized guardian must sign students in and out.
  • Discipline: Students must follow staff instructions and respect church property. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or disruptive behavior.

8. Health & Wellness

Students must be fever-free (without medication) for 24 hours before attending. All allergies must be documented in the student's profile. No snacks/food are permitted during sessions.

9. Media Release

Unless an opt-out is requested in writing, HomeSchool PlayLab may use photographs or videos of students for promotional purposes.
