HomeSchool PlayLab Safety Policy

HomeSchool PlayLab, a registered name of Academeer Inc., is committed to providing a safe, secure, and disciplined environment for all students. While we are fortunate to utilize the secure facilities at The Grove Church, safety depends on the collective cooperation of all students, parents, and staff.

1. Facility Security & Access

  • Secure Environment: The Grove Church is a secure facility. All exterior doors remain locked or monitored during program hours.
  • Sign-In/Sign-Out: All students must be signed in and out by an authorized parent or guardian. Identification may be requested by staff at any time.
  • Authorized Areas: Students and parents must remain within the designated HomeSchool PlayLab learning areas. Accessing other parts of the church facility without supervision is strictly prohibited.

2. Student Discipline & Conduct

  • Respect for Environment: Students must respect the facility, furniture, and equipment. Any intentional damage to church property will be the financial responsibility of the parent/guardian.
  • Behavioral Expectations: Students are expected to follow directions from staff immediately. Pushing, running in hallways, or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
  • Zero Tolerance for Bullying: HomeSchool PlayLab maintains a zero-tolerance policy for physical or verbal bullying.

3. Supervision and Safety Procedures

  • Supervised Transitions: Students will be supervised during all transitions between classrooms or to the restrooms.
  • Emergency Protocols: In the event of a fire, severe weather, or facility lockdown, students must follow the established church safety protocols as directed by PlayLab staff.
  • First Aid: Basic first aid kits are available on-site. Parents will be notified immediately of any injury or illness.

4. Health and Wellness

  • Illness Policy: To protect the community, students who have had a fever, vomiting, or contagious symptoms within the last 24 hours should not attend classes.
  • Allergies: Please ensure that all student allergies are documented in the registration file.

5. Compliance

Failure to adhere to these safety and discipline guidelines may result in a student's suspension or removal from the program, in accordance with our 30-day cancellation policy.
